Day 235:Psalm 50, Proverbs 8:7-9, 2 Peter 2, Job 24,25
Call On God
It was said of a child singing, "God is still on the phone!" whereas the actual hymn that was sang that morning was "God is still on the throne". Nevertheless, it is still apt to say that God is always on the phone waiting for us to call Him. In Psalm 50:15-19, we are asked to call upon Him in the day of trouble; He will deliver us and we shall glorify Him. But to the wicked God says: “What right have you to declare My statutes, Or take My covenant in your mouth, Seeing you hate instruction And cast My words behind you? When you saw a thief, you consented with him, And have been a partaker with adulterers. You give your mouth to evil, And your tongue frames deceit." How important then, we use our mouth to call upon Him to pray and to intercede, learn to do right, seek justice, defend the oppressed and take up the cause of the fatherless and plead the case of the widow (Isaiah 1:17). https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC
