Pray For Leaders To Be True Shepherds

It is good to pray Scriptures. Following today's reading, we can pray that our leaders of our beloved nation will know that eventually there will be Judgment. Fear of God will consume them. Heavens will reveal iniquities of men. The earth will rise up against the wicked, the increase of his house will depart and his goods will flow away in the day of His wrath and total darkness is reserved for his treasures and an unfanned fire will consume him (Job 19:29, 20:26-29). On the contrary, leaders who shepherd the people not for dishonest gain but willingly and eagerly,not lording over the people but being examples to the people will receive crowns of glory that do not fade away (1 Peter 5:1-4). Day 69: Psalm 49, Proverbs 25:4-6, 1 Corinthians 5, Genesis 49-50 Do Our Utmost For His Highest Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? But as for you, you meant evil against me; but  God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it  is this day, to save many people alive. Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them. Genesis 50:19‭-‬21 (http://bible.com/114/gen.50.19-21.NKJV) When we hear stories of how the evil triumphs over the good, we are angry. If it happens in real life to us, we may question God. We may go around feeling very miserable, angry and unproductive. However, Joseph in the Old Testament did not have such feelings but instead he went about doing his best in whatever tasks given to him, knowing that God is in charge and in control. We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
