Be Frank With God

We are familiar with the incident that happened to Job. How his children were all perished and his assets all vanished over just one night. Subsequently, he was also been inflicted with diseases. BUT, what was his response? Did he show his fist to God and curse God? In fact, his wife asked him to do so. We read in Chapter 7:11, it is recorded as, “Therefore I will not restrain my mouth; I will speak in the anguish of my spirit; I will complain in the bitterness of my soul." Here, we see that Job did not curse but was just complaining to God in bitterness and in the anguish of his spirit. Therefore, in times of trouble and turmoil, be FRANK with God - pour your hearts out to HIM. Submit to God... Draw near to God and He will draw near to you...Lament and mourn and weep! ..Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. (James 4:7-10) https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC

Day 69: Psalm 49, Proverbs 25:4-6, 1 Corinthians 5, Genesis 49-50 Do Our Utmost For His Highest Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? But as for you, you meant evil against me; but  God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it  is this day, to save many people alive. Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them. Genesis 50:19‭-‬21 (http://bible.com/114/gen.50.19-21.NKJV) When we hear stories of how the evil triumphs over the good, we are angry. If it happens in real life to us, we may question God. We may go around feeling very miserable, angry and unproductive. However, Joseph in the Old Testament did not have such feelings but instead he went about doing his best in whatever tasks given to him, knowing that God is in charge and in control. Day 187 - Have Fear of God Read: Psalm 145; Proverbs 6:28-31; Revelation 6; 2 Samuel 15-16 2 Samuel 15 & 16 15:13 A messenger came and told David, “The hearts of the people of Israel are with Absalom.”14 Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
