Day 237: Psalm 52, Proverbs 8:13-15, 1 John 1, Job 28, 29

Fear of God To Prevail

Shall we pray that today those who love evil more than good, lying rather than speaking righteousness will realise that God can destroy them forever. Those who trust in the abundance of their riches and strengthen himself in their wickedness will realise God may pluck them out of their dwelling place and uproot them from the land of living (Psalm 52:1-8). Pray too that the fear of God will prevail in all Malaysians, especially the police and those in authority (Proverbs 8:13-15). Let them realise that to depart from evil is understanding and to have the fear of God is wisdom (Job 28:28). Through wisdom a house is built and by understanding it is established (Proverbs 24:3). And if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sins (1John 1:7). https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC

Day 69: Psalm 49, Proverbs 25:4-6, 1 Corinthians 5, Genesis 49-50 Do Our Utmost For His Highest Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? But as for you, you meant evil against me; but  God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it  is this day, to save many people alive. Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them. Genesis 50:19‭-‬21 (http://bible.com/114/gen.50.19-21.NKJV) When we hear stories of how the evil triumphs over the good, we are angry. If it happens in real life to us, we may question God. We may go around feeling very miserable, angry and unproductive. However, Joseph in the Old Testament did not have such feelings but instead he went about doing his best in whatever tasks given to him, knowing that God is in charge and in control. We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
