Day 217: Psalm 32, Proverbs 6:16-18, Hebrews 7, Nehemiah 11, 12

It Starts With Us!

Today is the 3rd day of NECF National Fast & Prayer. In Psalm 32:6-11, the Psalmist urged everyone who is godly shall pray to Him in a time when He may be found; He will instruct us and teach us in the way we should go. He will guide us with His eyes and as we trust in the Lord, mercy shall surround us. What a privilege we have that we can come to the throne of grace! Yes, we must pray when He may be found! Remember, Jesus is our High Priest who  is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens; who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the people’s, for Jesus did once for all when He offered up Himself. He is  able to save to the uttermost those who COME TO GOD through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for us (Hebrews 7:25-27). Therefore, it STARTS WITH YOU! Day 69: Psalm 49, Proverbs 25:4-6, 1 Corinthians 5, Genesis 49-50 Do Our Utmost For His Highest Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? But as for you, you meant evil against me; but  God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it  is this day, to save many people alive. Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them. We may go around feeling very miserable, angry and unproductive. However, Joseph in the Old Testament did not have such feelings but instead he went about doing his best in whatever tasks given to him, knowing that God is in charge and in control. Day 187 - Have Fear of God Read: Psalm 145; Proverbs 6:28-31; Revelation 6; 2 Samuel 15-16 2 Samuel 15 & 16 15:13 A messenger came and told David, “The hearts of the people of Israel are with Absalom.”14 Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
