Prepare Our Sacrifices

As Christians, we know that Jesus died on the Cross as a Sacrifice for us to pay for the penalty of our sins and transgressions. However, have we ever thought of what are the sacrifices that are required from us by God? In Hebrews 13:14-16, we are exhorted to continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. This means that the least we do is to go to church to praise and worship God weekly while continually doing good and to share with others.Therefore, do not say that we do not need to go to church and just by believing in Jesus is enough. God requires us to give sacrifices of praise. We may go around feeling very miserable, angry and unproductive. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom.
