Day 232: Psalm 47, Proverbs 7:25-27, 1 Peter 4, Job 17-18

Totally Surrender to God

Many a times pre-believers do not accept that it is "easy" to become Christians. They are unable to accept that merely repenting, believing only in Jesus Christ, accepting the Holy Spirit, one will have eternal life. They expect something more. However, we know that once we are believers, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, we arm ourselves with the same mind, for one who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, we no longer should live the rest of our time in the flesh ... but for the will of God. We live in such a way knowing that we will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead (1 Peter 4:1-5). Coming to Christ may seem "easy" but living continuously and victoriously as true Christians requires us to totally surrender to the will of God. Day 69: Psalm 49, Proverbs 25:4-6, 1 Corinthians 5, Genesis 49-50 Do Our Utmost For His Highest Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? But as for you, you meant evil against me; but  God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it  is this day, to save many people alive. Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them. We may go around feeling very miserable, angry and unproductive. However, Joseph in the Old Testament did not have such feelings but instead he went about doing his best in whatever tasks given to him, knowing that God is in charge and in control. Day 187 - Have Fear of God Read: Psalm 145; Proverbs 6:28-31; Revelation 6; 2 Samuel 15-16 2 Samuel 15 & 16 15:13 A messenger came and told David, “The hearts of the people of Israel are with Absalom.”14 Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
