Day 218: Psalm 33, Proverbs 6:19-21, Hebrews 8, Nehemiah 13

Make Right and Initiate Reform

In Nehemiah 13:7-9, we read of how when Nehemiah came back to Jerusalem and discovered the evil that Eliashib had done, allied with Tobiah, in preparing a room for him in the courts of the house of God, it grieved him bitterly; therefore he threw all the household goods of Tobiah out of the room. Then he commanded them to cleanse the rooms; and he brought back into them the articles of the house of God, with the grain offering and the frankincense. When we see evils around us, do we grieve bitterly like Nehemiah? Knowing that the rooms in the Temple were to store offerings, he threw away Tobiah's furniture. He MADE RIGHT what had been done wrong. He cleansed and initiated REFORMS. Our prayers shall be along these lines as we entered into the 4th Day of NECF National Fast & Prayer. https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC
