Yesterday, I wrote how King David specifically prayed to God to keep him as the apple of His eye. Today, when I read Matthew 20:32-33, it says that when 2 BLIND men cried out to Jesus, He stood still and called them, and said, “What do you want Me to do for you?” They said to Him, “Lord, that our eyes may be opened.” I was thinking that Jesus was asking the OBVIOUS. However, this is exactly how it works with God. He is our Heavenly Loving Father, who loves to hear His children talking and asking from Him. Being a mother myself, I too would love my own children to just talk with me and ask me for their needs even though I know exactly what they need. Likewise, let us go to our loving Heavenly Father and express our hearts out to Him, telling Him intimately everything and not to assume that He knows. Day 187 - Have Fear of God Read: Psalm 145; Proverbs 6:28-31; Revelation 6; 2 Samuel 15-16 2 Samuel 15 & 16 15:13 A messenger came and told David, “The hearts of the people of Israel are with Absalom.”14 Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that? This is our Bible - it will not hide - all the successes and failures of God's people are truthfully reported. Why did King David suffer this?
