Jacob/Israel used to recall His intimate time with God where he could describe God as One who answered him in the day of his distress and Who had been with him wherever he had gone. He set up stone pillar to remind himself of the place God talked with him (refer Genesis 35:3,14-15). Learning from him, let us not forget God's goodness for us and how He had answered our prayers. One good practice would be to write down our prayer requests and to keep the answers to prayers in a journal (like the stone pillar) so that we can always refer and recall His goodness to us. Dear Lord, help me to count my blessings and to know that You will never leave me nor forsake me, You are holding my hands to go through this week. Thank You, Lord.
