In Exodus 8:22-23 , we read of how the Lord SET APART the land of Goshen, in which Israelites dwelt, that no swarms of flies shall be there, in order that the Egyptians may KNOW that He was the Lord in the midst of the land. God will make a difference between His people and the rest. Further, in Exodus 9:4, the Lord made further difference between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt. So nothing shall die of all that belongs to the children of Israel. If God in the Old Testament took effort to make the distinction, He expects us to make the difference as well. He expects us to SET ourselves APART and to be differrent from the rest of the world so that people may KNOW that Jesus is Lord in our lives. Hence, every student In Oxford is expected weekly to prepare 2500 words of essay whereby the lecturer will debate with the students and challenge his...
