In the parable of the sower in Matthew 13, we read of the seed that was sown along the path but was snatched away because the person does not UNDERSTAND the message whereas those who hear and UNDERSTAND yield a harvest of hundred times fold. So, the difference is understanding. How do we ensure we understand the Word of God? Do pray, go to church and listen to the sermon and even stay back for Bible Study! Remember the devil knows the Bible as well but misquoted as shown in Matthew 4 when he tempted Jesus with verses!
