We sometimes go through life as if there is no ending to life, no One to judge us and as if we are not accountable to anyone. Phrases like, "Be happy and be merry now"; "Die, die lah, it is ok, better still..I won't know anything after death" and "Just do it...enjoy now" are often heard. However, the Word of God in Revelation 11:18 clearly says that the time would come for judging not only the living but the dead as well, rewarding the servants and the people who revere God's Name and finally to destroy those who destroy the earth. Let us take heed and take stock of our life NOW before it is too late. God is with us..He will strengthen us and help us; He will uphold us with His righteous right hand. We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
