All of us like to have stability. We want to see a tree that is planted by the streams of water to be sturdy and firm despite heavy rain or thunderstorm. We want to see that the tree yields its fruit in season and the leaf does not wither. This is exactly the picture given by the psalmist in Psalm 1 of the Bible. What is the secret? In Psalm 1:2,3, it says to take delight in the Word of God and meditates on His law day and night and the promise is whatever we do shall prosper. Why not start the year by starting to read His Word at least a chapter a day? Be like the Apostle Peter, to take the 1st step out of the boat to walk on the water. Even though subsequently he was afraid, Jesus IMMEDIATELY reached out His hand and took hold of him. Read Matthew 14:28-33.

What impressed me most is the history of this great prestigious University. John and Charles Wesley's prayer meetings held there laid the foundations of the Methodist Church today. The way of teaching is based on the Disputations which was started 600 years ago in the Divinity School where 2 Professors would present their cases to determine who would be more persuasive.
