In Genesis 50:24, before Joseph passed away, he said to his brothers, “....God will surely come to your aid and take you up out of this land to the land He promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.” This is the level of faith that Joseph had - that God WILL SURELY come to our aid and He WILL DELIVER what He promised. In times of adversity, turmoil and difficulty, we are sometimes overwhelmed by what the incidences and occurences that are beyond us.  What a comfort to know God WILL SURELY help us and WILL DELIVER us from our adversities to victories. We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
