Day 328: Psalm 122, Proverbs 17:16-18, Luke 17, Ezekiel 28-29

Beauty & Wisdom In God

It is natural that when people praise us we will feel good. However, we have to always remind ourselves not to allow these praises to "go up" to our head! There is a saying, "Love is not big-headed, it is big-hearted". This is exactly the warning that God gave through Ezekial to the King of Tyre in 28:17, "Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings." We must remember that our beauty, knowledge and wisdom are all from the Lord. We have to always glorify God and not ourselves. Today, as we prepare to go to church, let us give all glory, power, praises, worship and all adoration to our King of kings and Lord of lords Who deserves all theses praises, for is by grace we have been saved, through faith—and this is not from ourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC (please click this link to twitter to view a visual).
