Yesterday, we saw a real incident of how God provided for a widow by an ever-supply of flour and oil, our basic needs in life! There was another exciting incident happened in Mount Carmel of how God answered prayers. The prophet Elijah prayed for rain and the rain DID come. But, note the incidents prior to the rain in 1 Kings 18:43-44 where he said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.” So he went up and looked, and said, “ There  is nothing.” And SEVEN TIMES he said, “Go again.” Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your  chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’ ” At times, God has already answered our prayers BUT we still need to CONSISTENTLY look to God and trust Him, even though there were as if no answer at all or no glimpse of a solution to our problems at all!
