Wait Upon the Lord

Yesterday, I had ice-cream with my hubby, celebrating my birthday. I was thanking God that I did not need to wait for the ice-cream as after we  bought, there were so many people coming and a long queue soon formed. I may not want to queue up to wait for food BUT I better jolly well WAIT upon the Lord for His direction before I ever take the next step. In 1 Chronicles 14:14-15, David inquired again of God, and God said to him, “You shall not go up after them; circle around them, and come upon them in front of the mulberry trees. And it shall be, when you hear a sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall go out to battle, for God has gone out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.” Obviously King David obeyed - he WAITED for the sound of marching before he went to battle and successfully struck down the enemies. Let us say this prayer by Pastor Dr. Peter J. Marshall, " Teach us, O Lord, the disciplines of patience, for to wait is often harder than to work." https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC
