Finish What We Started

One of the great challenges we face is to COMPLETE what we have started. Marathon runners are proud to receive their "Finishing T-shirt". Many started to run but few completed the race to receive the said t-shirt. However,there is ONE race that we MUST COMPLETE! Our journey of faith! Thanks be to God Who has chosen us to be His children. We have not yet reached our goal, ...but Christ has taken hold of us. So we keep on running and press on to take hold of the prize...forgeting what is behind, and reaching forward for what is ahead. We must run toward the goal to win the prize of being called to heaven. This is the prize God offers because of what Christ Jesus has done (Philippians 3:12-14). Even in the matters of giving, Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 8:9 that we should finish what we started. Today, as we go to church, ponder what we have committed and pray for STRENGTH TO COMPLETE the same and surely God is always there for us as He promised that He shall never leave us nor forsake us. https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC

We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
