Economy may be uncertain due to the weakening of RM. Things are more expensive due to GST. As I read Proverbs 31 today, I can learn at least 3 lessons from this wise woman in respect of work. 1st, in verse 16, she planted a vineyard. This means she invested in something that would yield more for her in the future. 2ndly, in verse 17, she set about her work vigorously. Nothing short of diligence! Harwork is needed and no shortcut. 3rdly, in verse 18, she saw to it that her trading is profitable. How we need to monitor and supervise closely to ENSURE that the work at hands is running smoothly and is yielding profits. May the Lord help us to be wise in our daily work, remembering always that unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom.
