At times, we may complaint that we do not receive blessings from God or we may feel very "dry". Have we ever thought why? In 2 Kings 4:1-6, we read of how God through prophet Elisha blessed a widow with an ever-supplied of oil BUT when all the jars were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another one.” But he replied, “There is not a jar left.” Then the oil stopped flowing. God is ever willing, ready and able to bless us BUT the question is whether are we willing and ready to go to Him, emptying ourselves to be filled by Him? Just as can be seen, if there was no more empty jar, there would be no more supply of oil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.....be filled with the Spirit! But as for you, you meant evil against me; but  God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it  is this day, to save many people alive. We may go around feeling very miserable, angry and unproductive. However, Joseph in the Old Testament did not have such feelings but instead he went about doing his best in whatever tasks given to him, knowing that God is in charge and in control. Day 187 - Have Fear of God Read: Psalm 145; Proverbs 6:28-31; Revelation 6; 2 Samuel 15-16 2 Samuel 15 & 16 15:13 A messenger came and told David, “The hearts of the people of Israel are with Absalom.”14 Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
