We have just celebrated the Lord's Resurrection yesterday and let us see what did our dear Lord Jesus say after His resurrection but before His ascension to Heaven. In John 20:21, Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” This is a clear instruction - we have been sent by Jesus to be like Him on earth while He intercedes for us (Romans 8:34). Henceforth, we need to be the light and salt for Jesus while we eagerly and joyfully anticipate His Second coming. Let us remember the acronym WWJD, What Would Jesus Do and do what He would do if He is in our situations or circumstances. We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
