I am still pondering on what our dear Lord Jesus did after His resurrection but before His ascension. Guess what? He did not stop to seek and find His disciples, He continued to pursue them, care for them, provide for them and help them. In John 21:6, He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some. ” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the MULTITUDE of fish. In John 21:9-10, Jesus Himself set up fire of coals, had fish and bread laid on it and further asked the disciples to give Him the fish they had just caught so that He would help to cook the fish for them. He then invited them to have breakfast with Him. This is exactly what He wants us to do even right now - to encounter Him, to rest in Him and with Him, to communicate with Him, so to speak to have breakfast with Him (breakfast denotes having meal with Him in the MORNING). And be rest assured He is always there to provide for us and to help us at all times! Truly, Hallelujah! What A Saviour! https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC
Day 183 - What Pleases Jesus Matters Read: Psalm 141; Proverbs 6:12-15; Revelation 2; 2 Samuel 7-8 “Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.” Revelation 2:20 NKJV http://bible.us/114/rev.2.20.nkjv I have the privilege to complete two modules of MBA course in Oxford University recently. What impressed me most is the history of this great prestigious University. John and Charles Wesley's prayer meetings held there laid the foundations of the Methodist Church today. The way of teaching is based on the Disputations which was started 600 years ago in the Divinity School where 2 Professors would present their cases to determine who would be more persuasive. Hence, every student In Oxford is expected weekly to prepare 2500 words of essay whereby the lecturer will debate with the students and challenge his...
