Often, we see homes are decorated with Words from the book of Joshua 24:15 that says .."choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve... But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord .” It is interesting to note the verses after that. In Joshua 24:16, 18, "So the people answered and said: “Far be it from us that we should forsake the Lord to serve other gods; ...We also will serve the Lord , for He is our God.” Subsequently, Joshua challenged them in verse 22 & 27 that they themselves had to be witnesses that they chose the Lord to serve Him and set a stone to be the WITNESS against themselves if they were untrue to their God. Hence, we need to have accountability partners to be our witnesses and a memorable object which can be the verse that is hung at our homes to REMIND us of our commitments we made to God. https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC

We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom.
