I am sure we have been hurt or cheated before, more so by our loved ones or the ones whom we trust. What should we do? In his old age, King David had this to say in Psalms 71:13 & 24, "Let them be confounded and consumed Who are adversaries of my life; Let them be covered with reproach and dishonor Who seek my hurt. My tongue also shall talk of Your righteousness all the day long; For they are confounded, For they are brought to shame Who seek my hurt." We are also asked to love our enemies and to bless them (Matthew 5:44). Yes, this we must. Above all, we must pray for their salvation and their repentance, perhaps, in their reproach, they know God and realise their sins and ultimately repent of their sins and be made right with God as what King David said he talked of God's righteousness all day long.
