Do you remember what it was like when you were little and someone picked you up and carried you around? What a comfortable and secured feeling when your parents reached down to you, lifted you into strong and capable arms. It was good to be held and you knew everthing would be alright. Likewise, let God carry you each day. You will feel safe and secure in the arms of God's compassion and concern. You will be comfortable everywhere you go because the eternal arms of God's power and might are underneath you. You are God's child and He delights to take care of you - always! Read Isaiah 40.
Day 187 - Have Fear of God Read: Psalm 145; Proverbs 6:28-31; Revelation 6; 2 Samuel 15-16 2 Samuel 15 & 16 15:13 A messenger came and told David, “The hearts of the people of Israel are with Absalom.”14 Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that? This is our Bible - it will not hide - all the successes and failures of God's people are truthfully reported. Why did King David suffer this?
