Day 102: Do Not Grieve the Holy Spirit Read: Psalm 83,  Proverbs 28:26-28, Ephesians 4,   Leviticus 27 “that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭ 4:22 -24, 30‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/eph.4.22-24,30.nkjv Thank God for a brand new day. In fact, today and yesterday have no difference. It is just another day. But the newness of a brand new day makes the difference. In today's passage, Apostle Paul exhorted us to put off the  negative values and attitudes that sprang from our 'old' nature.  We are to put on the NEW MAN which was created according to God in true righteousness and holiness. Thanks be to God, we don't have to
Day 101: We are Powerful & Privileged  Read: Psalm 82, Proverbs 28:23-25, Ephesians 3,   Leviticus 25-26 “God stands in the congregation of the mighty; He judges among the gods. How long will you judge unjustly, And show partiality to the wicked? Defend the poor and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy; Free them from the hand of the wicked.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭82:1-4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/psa.82.1-4.nkjv “He who is of a proud heart stirs up strife, But he who trusts in the LORD will be prospered.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭28:25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/pro.28.25.nkjv The above stated verses are good prayers for our nation. Further, in our today ’s reading of  Leviticus 25:17-21, we are asked not to  oppress one another, but we shall fear God and observe His statutes and perform them…then the land will yield its fruit, and we will eat our fill, and dwell there in safety.   May we not forget to know that we, Christians ar
Day 100: Keep Shining Read: Psalm 81, Proverbs 28:21-22; Ephesians 2,  Leviticus 23-24 ““Command the children of Israel that they bring to you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to make the lamps burn continually.” ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭24:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/lev.24.2.nkjv H ere we can see that God COMMANDS that the children of Israel to bring the pure oil of pressed olives for light. What was the reason? To ensure that the lamps burn continually. Applying this now, God expects us to KEEP shining for Him. In order to do so, we must CONTINUALLY abide in Christ in order that the Holy Spirit dwells in us. We must delight in the presence of God by coming to Him daily to read His Words and to pray and not to grieve the Holy Spirit. May this be our daily goal and daily determination! Remember that as we seek FIRST the Kingdom of God  and His righteousness, all these things shall be added to you ( Matthew 6:33). #keepshining #devotion #abideinchrist #dailygoal ht
Day 99: Privilege Comes With Responsibility  Read: Psalm 80, Proverbs 28:18-20, Ephesians 1,  Leviticus 21-22 “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭ 1:13-14 ‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/eph.1.13-14.nkjv W hat a joy! What a privilege! We were sealed with the Holy Spirit to GUARANTEE our inheritance as the purchased possession of God. Bear in mind too that we were purchased by the BLOOD of Jesus Christ! In fact, Michelangelo, regarded as the most famous artist of the Italian Renaissance said, "It is not sufficient merely to be a great master in painting and very wise, but I think that it is necessary for the painter to be very moral in his mode of life, or even, if such were possible, a saint, so that
Day 98: Be Understanding and Be Contended Read: Psalm 79, Proverbs 28:15-17, Galatians 6,  Leviticus 19-20 Proverbs 28 16 A ruler who lacks understanding is a great oppressor, But he who hates covetousness will prolong his days. The above-stated verse spells out 2 main essentials as leaders. Leaders who do not understand their subordinates are akin to great oppressors. This is a serious allegation but it shows the importance of stooping down to the level of every subordinate whom the leaders are taking care of, to understand and to listen to them. Leaders need to put themselves in the shoes of their subordinates. The second element of leadership is contentment which is the opposite of covetousness. Leaders who are not contended will naturally, at times without even knowing it themselves, that they will use their power and position to obtain advantages and benefits.  Yes, Lord, please forgive us for being not understanding at times. O Lord, please guard our hearts whic
Day 97: Come Clean Before God Read: Psalm 78, Proverbs 28:13-14, Galatians 5,  Leviticus 17-18 “He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. Happy is the man who is always reverent, But he who hardens his heart will fall into calamity.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭28:13-14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/pro.28.13-14.nkjv How important that we confess all our sins and come clean before God. Have mercy on us and help us to be humble and reverent.  We want to commit our family members, relatives and friends who have yet to know You. O Lord, please cause them not to harden their hearts but be open and just seek You. Let them ask all the questions and reason with You as You invite us to reason with You  (Isaiah 1:18). We know that You will reveal Yourself to those who seek You genuinely with all their hearts. Amen. Jeremiah 13: 13  says, "And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” #devotion #seekgo
Day 96: Long To Be Used By God. Be Useful Vessels of God! Read: Psalm 77, Proverbs 28:10-12, Galatians 4,  Leviticus 15-16 1) "You led Your people like a flock By the hand of Moses and Aaron.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭77:20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/psa.77.20.nkjv God loves His people. He longs to guide and lead them by the hand. From the above passage, we can see that He involves people in His work. He used the hand of Moses and Aaron to lead His people. How important then that we must live our lives worthy of His calling to us to extend His love to others. We must be useful for Him to partner with us. In fact, it is such a privilege. We are created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in Him (Ephesians 2:10). We are saved to serve our beloved King of kings and the Lord of lords! Pray that God will enable and empower us to do so. Amen. #devotion #servegod #usedbygod #savedtoserve #lovegod https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC
Day 95: Live A Life Worthy Of God's Calling Read: Psalm 76,  Proverbs 28:7-9, Galatians 3,   Leviticus 13-14 Leviticus 14  52 And he shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird and the running water and the living bird, with the cedar wood, the hyssop, and the scarlet. 53 Then he shall let the living bird loose outside the city in the open field, and make atonement for the house, and it shall be clean. 54 “This is the law for any leprous sore and scale, 55 for the leprosy of a garment and of a house, 56 for a swelling and a scab and a bright spot, 57 to teach when it is unclean and when it is clean. This is the law of leprosy.” If God took so much effort to devote 2 chapters on the law of leprosy, it shows that it is important for us to set ourselves apart for God's purposes. We need to always be reminded that it took Jesus' sacrificial death on the Cross to atone us to make us clean. Hence, once we are clean, we need to be continuously set apart fo
Day 94: Seek To Please God Read: Psalm 75, Proverbs 28:4-6, Galatians 2,   Leviticus 11-12 “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭ 2:20 ‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/gal.2.20.nkjv A s Christians, we need to live our lives for Christ. Our old lives have been crucified with Christ! We need to put aside our old flesh and old desires. Our desires should be longing for God, His Presence, His Glory and His Purpose! We should be delighting to seek Him and keep His Law and Commandments. We should also abhor unclean things. Anything that Is not pleasing to Him, becomes an abhorrence to us as well.  Oh Lord, we are so thankful that You have called us out of darkness to the Light! Dear Lord, we recognize that You love to bless us and long that we seek You. Thank You so much for Your everlasting lo

Day 93: Do Not Take God For Granted Read: Psalm 74, Proverbs 28:1-3, Galatians 1,  Leviticus 9-10 “So they brought what Moses commanded before the tabernacle of meeting. And all the congregation drew near and stood before the LORD. Then Moses said, “This is the thing which the LORD commanded you to do, and the glory of the LORD will appear to you.” And Moses said to Aaron, “Go to the altar, offer your sin offering and your burnt offering, and make atonement for yourself and for the people. Offer the offering of the people, and make atonement for them, as the LORD commanded.”  And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of meeting, and came out and blessed the people. Then the glory of the LORD appeared to all the people,” “Then Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer and put fire in it, put incense on it, and offered profane fire before the LORD, which He had not commanded them. So fire went out from the LORD and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.
Day 92: Hear, Do & Walk Right Read: Psalm 73, Proverbs 27:25-27,  2 Corinthians 13,  Leviticus 7-8 “Then he brought Aaron’s sons. And Moses put some of the blood on the tips of their right ears, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet. And Moses sprinkled the blood all around on the altar.” ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭ 8:24 ‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/lev.8.24.nkjv I t is interesting to note that Moses put some of the blood on the tips of their right ears, right thumb and right feet. Right hand denotes own effort and strength. When God gives us free will to exercise our strength and make effort, we are to ensure we hear (ear), do (thumb) and walk (feet) in accordance to God's guidance and Biblical's principles. Dear Lord, please help us to hear, do and walk rightly in Your Light. Amen! #devotion #walkright #decisionmaking https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC
Day 91: God ONLY does Wondrous Things Read: Psalm 72; Proverbs 27:22-24; 2 Corinthians 12,  Leviticus 5-6 “Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, Who only does wondrous things!” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭72:18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/psa.72.18.nkjv “Be diligent to know the state of your flocks, And attend to your herds; For riches are not forever, Nor does a crown endure to all generations.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭27:23-24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/pro.27.23-24.nkjv How important that we are diligent to know the conditions of ourselves and our flocks. Flocks here mean that which God has put us in charge. The examples will be our children, the work that God has put us to do, the project, the business, the vocation and so on and so forth. From the passage, we are exalted to be cautious and not to take it for granted that riches are forever or a crown will endure for all generations. We have to depend on God AT ALL TIMES, trust only Him as the source of all good things as i
Day 90: God Will Provide A Way BUT We Have To Repent Read: Psalm 71; Proverbs 27:19-21, 2 Corinthians 11,  Leviticus 3-4 Leviticus 4:35   35  He shall remove all its fat, as the fat of the lamb is removed from the sacrifice of the peace offering. Then the priest shall burn it on the altar, according to the offerings made by fire to the  Lord . So the priest shall make atonement for his sin that he has committed, and it shall be forgiven him. God loves us but that does not mean He will not punish. In fact, true love disciplines. True love wants the best of the person. If discipline and punishment are the ways to enable a person to learn and grow, God needs to resort to that. But, He will provide a way for us to make atonement for our sins that we have committed and it shall be forgiven us. And of course now, Jesus laid down His life once and for all as an act of atonement for each and everyone of us. Once we realise how our sins and wrongdoings are paid off, we ought to
