Day 55: Psalm 35, Proverbs 23:31-35,  Romans 7, Genesis 21-22

Have Unwavering Faith
And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.” So the two of them went together. Then they came to the place of which God had told him. And Abraham built an altar there and placed the wood in order; and he bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, upon the wood. And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.

I really admire Father Abraham's high level of faith. Imagine, he only had Isaac at the age of 100 and this was his only heir. Yet in response to God's testing him, he was willing to sacrifice Isaac on Mount Moriah. The only basis and firm foundation he held on to was his faith that God would provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering. Many a times, we are faced with this challenge too but learning from Father Abraham, we just got to BELIEVE and have this unwavering faith that no matter what, God will provide (Jehovah Jireh) and God is there (Jehovah Shammah) always. He will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Corrie ten Boom said “Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.” How true!
