Day 43: Psalm 23, Proverbs 22: 25-27, Acts 23, Malachi 1-2

Giving Our Best
““Cursed is the cheat who has an acceptable male in his flock and vows to give it, but then sacrifices a blemished animal to the Lord. For I am a great king,” says the Lord Almighty, “and my name is to be feared among the nations.” Malachi‬ ‭1:14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

If an employer knows that his or her staff do not give their best but only half hearted service to the firm, we can reckon that the employer will be mad. As seen in today's verse, the Lord Amighty found out that the people offered Him blemished animal when they had acceptable male in their flock. God reckoned the person as cheat and cursed such person. Wow! This is serious - not being and giving our best to our King of kings and the Lord of lords will bring forth His wrath. With this in mind, it will help to stir in us the fear of God. And giving our best is not difficult if we put in love as Mother Teresa said that it is not "how much we give but how much love we put into giving" https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC (please click to view a visual)
