Day 54: Psalm 34, Proverbs 23:28-30, Romans 6, Genesis 19-20

God Is Good! All The Time!
I sought the Lord , and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord  encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them. Oh, taste and see that the Lord  is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!Psalms 34:4-8 NKJV

Psalm 34 was written by King David when he was pursued by Saul and even needed to pretend madness before Achish, the king of Gath. King David needed to scratch on the doors of the gate and let his saliva fall down on his beard (I Samuel 21:13). But, the whole of Psalm 34 was all about the goodness of God and how God had been so kind and merciful to Him. What we can learn from this is that we do not need to dwell on the bitter part of the actual incident but to focus and address our minds to the FACT that God answers our prayers especially during the hours of peril. How God has been faithful and He will save us from all our troubles! King David even exhorted others to taste the Lord for He is good. He certainly could speak from his experiences. Wait no longer! Day 69: Psalm 49, Proverbs 25:4-6, 1 Corinthians 5, Genesis 49-50 Do Our Utmost For His Highest Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? But as for you, you meant evil against me; but  God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it  is this day, to save many people alive. Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them. We may go around feeling very miserable, angry and unproductive. However, Joseph in the Old Testament did not have such feelings but instead he went about doing his best in whatever tasks given to him, knowing that God is in charge and in control. Day 187 - Have Fear of God Read: Psalm 145; Proverbs 6:28-31; Revelation 6; 2 Samuel 15-16 2 Samuel 15 & 16 15:13 A messenger came and told David, “The hearts of the people of Israel are with Absalom.”14 Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
