Day 50: Psalm 30, Proverbs 23:16-18, Romans 2, Genesis 11-12

Know that Jesus Loves You
Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God.. Romans 2:4-5 NKJV

We have heard the phrase “spare the rod, spoil the child” which is a modern-day saying that means if a parent refuses to discipline a disobedient child, that child may become a spoiled brat. The saying comes from Proverbs 13:24, “He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him.” In today's verse, God has shown kindness to mankind with a hope that the goodness of God may lead us to repentance. But, we know that this has not always brought forth positive results. The hardness and the unrepentant heart of men will slowly but surely built themselves up to the day of wrath and judgment of God. As God is our loving Heavenly Father, He loves us and hence, may discipline us to bring us to repentance if His goodness goes unheeded by His children. Why not, go to church today and be still and know that He loves you and He will never leave you nor forsake you. He is just waiting for you to run back to Him. Billy Graham said, "God proved His love on the Cross. When Christ hung, and bled, and died, it was God saying to the world, 'I love you' ". https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC (please click to view a visual)
