Day 41: Psalm 21, Proverbs 22:19-21, Acts 21, Zechariah 11-12

What Are You Willing To Die For?
Then Paul answered, “What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.” So when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, “The will of the Lord be done.”
Acts 21:13-14 NKJV

When Apostle Paul reached Tyre, he was told not to go up to Jerusalem (v3-4). But, historically, we know that Paul went up to Jerusalem and he was seized, arrested and beaten. Later, in verse 13, we read of how Apostle Paul was ready not only to be bound but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus. One may wonder what made Apostle Paul had such conviction when we do hear some Christians complaint that they do not want to go to church because the church is too far or some other reasons. The answer can be found in Chapter 20:24 where Paul himself said he did not count his life dear to himself; he wanted to finish the race with joy and the ministry he received from the Lord Jesus that is to testify to the Gospel of God. Paul knew what was the priority in life and he set his mind, soul and heart to just do that one thing. How about us? Martin Luther King, Jr said, "I submit to you that if a man hasn't discovered something that he will die for, he isn't fit to live." https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC (please click to view a visual)
