Day 51: Psalm 31, Proverbs 23:19-21, Romans 3, Genesis 13-14

Make Up Our Mind To Make Godly Decisions
And Lot lifted his eyes and saw all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere (before the Lord  destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the Lord , like the land of Egypt as you go toward Zoar. Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan, and Lot journeyed east. And they separated from each other.
Genesis 13:10-11 NKJV

In today's verses, we know the consequences of Lot's choice. The places of Sodom and Gomorah which Lot chose were completely destroyed whereby these two cities are non existent now. If we read these verses carefully, the basis of Lot's decision was that the place was pleasing to his own eyes, he chose for himself and there were immediate benefits to him as the land was well watered everywhere. The question is what should be the basis of our decision-making process? My basis of decision is the acronym of PGE which stands for: Will God be PLEASED with this decision? Will God be GLORIFIED? Will God's Kingdom be EXTENDED by this decision? Let us take heed to make wise decision as some decisions that we make may have undesirable results. A former First Lady of USA, Eleanor Roosevelt said this before, "I am convinced that every effort must be made in childhood to teach the young to use their own minds. For one thing is sure: If they don’t make up their minds, someone will do it for them." https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC (please click to view a visual)
