Day 320: Psalm 119:129-136, Proverbs 16:25-27, Luke 10, Ezekiel 12-13

Seek God Today

God, our Heavenly Father longs to know us and be known by us. However, people have been behaving and acting in such a way that God is ignored and forgotten. In just these 2 chapters of Ezekiel, the phrase, "then they shall know that I am the Lord" was repeated 7 times. It is as if God needs to "shout" to bring the people's attention back to Him. For instance, He needed to scatter the Israelites and dispersed them throughout the countries (v15);  God's hand was against the false prophets (13v9) and the wall that were plastered with untempered mortar was brought down to the ground (13v14). My prayer and hope is that God does not need to resort to these method to bring us back to Him. May we willingly and enthusiastically return to God to seek Him and know Him. Let us pray as Hezekiah prayed, saying, ‘May the Lord, who is good, pardon everyone  who sets their heart on seeking God—the Lord, the God of their ancestors—even if they are not clean according to the rules of the sanctuary’ And the Lord heard Hezekiah and healed the people” (2 Chronicles 30:18-20). https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC (please click this link to twitter to view a visual)

Day 69: Psalm 49, Proverbs 25:4-6, 1 Corinthians 5, Genesis 49-50 Do Our Utmost For His Highest Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? But as for you, you meant evil against me; but  God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it  is this day, to save many people alive. We may go around feeling very miserable, angry and unproductive. However, Joseph in the Old Testament did not have such feelings but instead he went about doing his best in whatever tasks given to him, knowing that God is in charge and in control. Day 187 - Have Fear of God Read: Psalm 145; Proverbs 6:28-31; Revelation 6; 2 Samuel 15-16 2 Samuel 15 & 16 15:13 A messenger came and told David, “The hearts of the people of Israel are with Absalom.”14 Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
