Day 301: Psalm 116, Proverbs 14:37-39, Mark 7, Jeremiah 31-32
We Are Empowered & Enabled By Grace
In Jeremiah 31:33-34, the Lord says: "I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord ,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord . For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.” This shows the ultimate goal of God is for us to love and obey God willingly and cheerfully from the bottom of our hearts. In fact, this is also the desire of every parent. We want to see our children grow up to love and obey the Lord, respect us, not outwardly to put up a show but sincerely and very willingly on their own accord. We need the Gospel to help us: the grace of regeneration whereby our hearts are changed and we are empowered and enabled to carry out the duty that the law shows us. Do you know what the Gospel is?
