Pray For Faithfulness

We know that without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).  In fact, in today's reading in Mark 16:14, we saw our dear Resurrected Lord rebuked the Eleven disciples' unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. Actually, it is not difficult to understand why only through faith, we are able to please God. Which parents on earth will be happy when their own children do not trust them and keep on doubting their parents' love?  David Wilkerson, an evangelist, best known for his book, "The Cross and the Switchblade" once said, “Likewise today, some Christians are content to merely exist until they die. They don’t want to risk anything, to believe God, to grow or mature. They refuse to believe his Word, and have become hardened in their unbelief. Day 69: Psalm 49, Proverbs 25:4-6, 1 Corinthians 5, Genesis 49-50 Do Our Utmost For His Highest Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? We may go around feeling very miserable, angry and unproductive. However, Joseph in the Old Testament did not have such feelings but instead he went about doing his best in whatever tasks given to him, knowing that God is in charge and in control. Day 187 - Have Fear of God Read: Psalm 145; Proverbs 6:28-31; Revelation 6; 2 Samuel 15-16 2 Samuel 15 & 16 15:13 A messenger came and told David, “The hearts of the people of Israel are with Absalom.”14 Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
