Bible Is An Eternal Treasure

At times, we may not have the time to read the Bible. But, Jesus said in Mark 13:30-31 that even heaven and earth will pass away, but God's Words will by no means pass away. This shows how important God's Words are! Imagine heaven and earth can pass away BUT God's Words shall remain. Further, in today's Old Testament reading in Jeremiah 44:29, it says, "This shall  be a sign to you,’ says the Lord , ‘that I will punish you in this place, that you may know that My words will surely stand against you for adversity.’" God's Words will surely stand until eternity! If God's Words shall remain for eternity, I want to spend my time and effort to marvel, meditate and memorize them as they will be my possessions for eternity. Day 69: Psalm 49, Proverbs 25:4-6, 1 Corinthians 5, Genesis 49-50 Do Our Utmost For His Highest Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? But as for you, you meant evil against me; but  God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it  is this day, to save many people alive. Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them. We may go around feeling very miserable, angry and unproductive. However, Joseph in the Old Testament did not have such feelings but instead he went about doing his best in whatever tasks given to him, knowing that God is in charge and in control. Day 187 - Have Fear of God Read: Psalm 145; Proverbs 6:28-31; Revelation 6; 2 Samuel 15-16 2 Samuel 15 & 16 15:13 A messenger came and told David, “The hearts of the people of Israel are with Absalom.”14 Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
