In Romans 10:13-15, it is stated that “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? Hence, we know we need to go and preach the Gospel, else people out there will not have a chance to hear, to believe and subsequently call on our dear Lord Jesus' Name to be saved! Time is running short - we are definitely living in the End Times. Yesterday, we considered the need to rest. Just as in 1 Kings 19:9-15, the prophet Elijah was asked twice to eat and rest, he was asked, "What are you doing here, Elijah?" twice as well after he had rested. He was then asked to "Go out, return on your way...and anoint .." Basically, after we have rested, we are to do the works of the One who sent us while it is still Day. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom.
