Ignorance of the law is no defence. As lawyers, we are unable to mitigate for the guilty and plead for lower sentences just because he or she does NOT know the law. The law establishes the rights and wrongs that bind all the citizens of that particular nation. Just like in Romans 4:15, it says that the law brings about wrath; for where there is no law there is no transgression. If there is no law, we will not know where the boundaries are. With law, we know whether we have committed a wrong or not. Therefore, if God were to judge us according to law, we will all be pronounced guilty. But, thanks be to God, where we know that we belong to Him and acceptable to Him not by obeying the Law of Moses but God accepts us simply because of our faith in Christ (Philippians 3:9). This is made possible all because of JESUS - Romans 4:25 says "God gave Jesus to die for our sins, and He raised Him to life, so that we would be made acceptable to God." Today is the day of Salvation - believe (have faith) in JESUS today! There is no other way. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6). https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC
Day 183 - What Pleases Jesus Matters Read: Psalm 141; Proverbs 6:12-15; Revelation 2; 2 Samuel 7-8 “Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.” Revelation 2:20 NKJV http://bible.us/114/rev.2.20.nkjv I have the privilege to complete two modules of MBA course in Oxford University recently. What impressed me most is the history of this great prestigious University. John and Charles Wesley's prayer meetings held there laid the foundations of the Methodist Church today. The way of teaching is based on the Disputations which was started 600 years ago in the Divinity School where 2 Professors would present their cases to determine who would be more persuasive. Hence, every student In Oxford is expected weekly to prepare 2500 words of essay whereby the lecturer will debate with the students and challenge his...
