From yesterday's sharing, we learnt that God has His own standard to maintain. Yes, He is gracious, slow to anger and merciful but to those who repent. This is because He cannot go against His very own nature - He is Holy, just as can be seen in 1 Samuel 6:20, "the people of Beth Shemesh asked, “Who can stand in the presence of the Lord, this holy God?". Knowing this, God has to find a solution as to how to allow us, sinners, to be in His Holy Presence. There is ONLY ONE WAY - "He himself bore our sins” in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” (1 Peter 2:24). How we must be eternally grateful to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour! Not only that, let us be eager to share Christ as salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”(Acts 4:12) and nothing impure will ever enter it (heaven) nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s (Jesus) book of life. - Revelation 21:27. https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC

What impressed me most is the history of this great prestigious University. John and Charles Wesley's prayer meetings held there laid the foundations of the Methodist Church today. The way of teaching is based on the Disputations which was started 600 years ago in the Divinity School where 2 Professors would present their cases to determine who would be more persuasive. Hence, every student In Oxford is expected weekly to prepare 2500 words of essay whereby the lecturer will debate with the students and challenge his...
