Yesterday was an auspicious day whereby the Malaysia Bible Seminary's 5th Principal was installed. As I sat through the whole proceedings, what dawned on me is the urgent need to equip God's people, especially young people in strong Biblical theology and foundation. He said there were about 1000 alumni over the past 30+ years! But, in Numbers 1:1-3, the Lord spoke to Moses to take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, every male individually, from 20 years old and above—all who are able to go to war in Israel. God started YOUNG. He enlisted the men from 20 years and above. How about us today? Where are our young men? They are in universities studying secular subjects. It just burdens me that if God was preparing young men before taking on the Promised Land, are we following suit to do likewise to at least let our young people go through theological studies BEFORE they go for any secular tertiary education? (Interesting to note that Harvard University was founded in 1636 with the intention of establishing a school to train Christian ministers.) https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC
