In Leviticus 9:15, 18 we read of how Aaron brought the people’s offering, and took the goat, which was the sin offering for the people, and killed it and offered it for sin.....and he also killed the bull and the ram as sacrifices of peace offerings, which were for the people. And Aaron’s sons presented to him the blood, which he sprinkled all around on the altar. If this is how God required to be done to atone for the sins of the Israelites, we now know that we had our dear Lord Jesus Christ who was willing to be like the goat, willing to be killed so that the requirement for sin offering could be fulfilled forever. When at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which is translated, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” in Mark 15:34, Jesus took upon Himself all the sins for each and evey one of us and hence, God the Father had to forsake Him at that particular moment. But, when the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom (Mark 15:38), it denotes that God had accepted this Sin Offering once and for all and God has come to dwell amongst men. We are able to have accessed to Him ONLY IF we accept Jesus as our sin and peace offering like the ram in the Old Testament. Let us share this with our friends during this year of the ram. https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC
Day 183 - What Pleases Jesus Matters Read: Psalm 141; Proverbs 6:12-15; Revelation 2; 2 Samuel 7-8 “Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.” Revelation 2:20 NKJV http://bible.us/114/rev.2.20.nkjv I have the privilege to complete two modules of MBA course in Oxford University recently. What impressed me most is the history of this great prestigious University. John and Charles Wesley's prayer meetings held there laid the foundations of the Methodist Church today. The way of teaching is based on the Disputations which was started 600 years ago in the Divinity School where 2 Professors would present their cases to determine who would be more persuasive. Hence, every student In Oxford is expected weekly to prepare 2500 words of essay whereby the lecturer will debate with the students and challenge his...
