Day 263: Psalm 78, Proverbs 11:4-6, Revelations 19, Isaiah 21-22

Be Transparent

Psalm 78 is a long psalm BUT an important one as it enlists the events that had occurred from how the Israelites were delivered from slavery to how they were provided when they were in the wilderness. These events were not hidden from the Israelites' children but instead were told from one generation to another so that they may set hope in God and not forget the works of God but keep His commandments (verses 4-7). Notice that the events told include the failures of their forefathers. Therefore, as we share our testimonies, do not hide our shortcomings but be transparent on how God has delivered us even in our times of weaknesses. https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC

Day 69: Psalm 49, Proverbs 25:4-6, 1 Corinthians 5, Genesis 49-50 Do Our Utmost For His Highest Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? But as for you, you meant evil against me; but  God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it  is this day, to save many people alive. Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them. We may go around feeling very miserable, angry and unproductive. However, Joseph in the Old Testament did not have such feelings but instead he went about doing his best in whatever tasks given to him, knowing that God is in charge and in control. Day 187 - Have Fear of God Read: Psalm 145; Proverbs 6:28-31; Revelation 6; 2 Samuel 15-16 2 Samuel 15 & 16 15:13 A messenger came and told David, “The hearts of the people of Israel are with Absalom.”14 Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
