Day 253: Psalm 68, Proverbs 10:7-9, Revelations 9, Isaiah 1-2
Shine In Our Corner
History showed us that God had judged and destroyed 2 cities, Sodom and Gomorrah because of the wickedness of the people there. In fact, God was so gracious and merciful NOT to destroy ONLY IF there were 10 righteous people as interceded by Father Abraham (Genesis 18:16-33). But, we knew that even 10 righteous people were not found there and hence, God had no alternative but to totally destroy these 2 cities. In today's reading of Isaiah 1:9, prophet Isaiah knew that unless the Lord of hosts had left to them a very small remnant, they would have become like Sodom and would have been made like Gomorrah. How important then that we do our part to learn to do good, seek justice, rebuke the oppressor, defend the fatherless and plead for the widow (Isaiah 1:17). Yesterday, I heard a testimony of how an estate agent in Singapore pleaded 3x to the buyer to take back the undertable money. We just got to shine in whatever corner that God has placed us and this can make a difference! https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC
