Day 255: Psalm 70, Proverbs 10:13-15, Revelations 11, Isaiah 5-6

Encounter God

Jesus knows that most people would only believe after they have seen. Hence, He appeared to Thomas when this disciple doubted (John 20:24-28).St Thomas became one of the greatest missionary to India. Similarly, Isaiah saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne and immediately this prophet cried out "Woe to me...For I am a man of unclean lips.." and later he was willing to say,"Here am I, send me" (Isaiah 6:1-8). When Paul heard a voice said to him, "I am Jesus, Whom you are persecuting....", at once, this Apostle began to preach that Jesus is the Son of God (Acts 9:3-20). Encountering God will change our lives. Pray that the people who are gathering today will encounter God and their lives changed. However, whether we encounter God or not, have faith in Jesus because He said in John 20:29, “Because you have seen Me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" (John 10:10). https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC

Day 69: Psalm 49, Proverbs 25:4-6, 1 Corinthians 5, Genesis 49-50 Do Our Utmost For His Highest Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? But as for you, you meant evil against me; but  God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it  is this day, to save many people alive. Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them. Genesis 50:19‭-‬21 (http://bible.com/114/gen.50.19-21.NKJV) When we hear stories of how the evil triumphs over the good, we are angry. If it happens in real life to us, we may question God. We may go around feeling very miserable, angry and unproductive. However, Joseph in the Old Testament did not have such feelings but instead he went about doing his best in whatever tasks given to him, knowing that God is in charge and in control. Day 187 - Have Fear of God Read: Psalm 145; Proverbs 6:28-31; Revelation 6; 2 Samuel 15-16 2 Samuel 15 & 16 15:13 A messenger came and told David, “The hearts of the people of Israel are with Absalom.”14 Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that? This is our Bible - it will not hide - all the successes and failures of God's people are truthfully reported. Why did King David suffer this?
