Day 120: Obedient and Submit to God
Read: Psalm 98; Proverbs 30:16-19; Phillipians 2; Numbers 29-30
"Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.
For I have no one like-minded, who will sincerely care for your state. For all seek their own, not the things which are of Christ Jesus. But you know his proven character, that as a son with his father he served with me in the gospel.”
Philippians 2:12-16, 20-22 NKJV
We are being saved. Salvation is a process. When we say the sinners's prayers and truly repent of our past sins, we started the relationship with God. We need to continue to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, continually depending on Him to work in us both to will and to do His will to please and glorify HIm. John 15:5 says that apart from Him we are nothing. Further, Romans 12:1-2 says, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” One sure way to renew our mind is to fill our mind with His Words, so that we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming (Ephesians 4:14). #devotion #salvation #fearofgod #willofgod #renewedmind https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC
