Day 119: Privilege to Pray and Intercede
Read: Psalm 97; Proverbs 30:13-15; Phillipians 1; Numbers 27-28
“being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell.
Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel,”
Philippians 1:6, 9-11, 21-22, 27 NKJV
What a privilege that we Christians have! We have access to the King of kings and the Lord of lords. How then we can intercede and pray for one another. Here we can learn from Apostle Paul that he prayed for fellow believers as follows:-
- Our love may abound more and more in knowledge and in judgment of God
- That we may approve things that are excellent and able to discern what is God’s best
- That we will be sincere without offence till we meet Jesus
- That we will be filled with the fruits of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ
- Our conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ Amen!
