Day 60: Psalm 40,Proverbs 24:13-15, Romans 12, Genesis 31-32
Wait Upon The Lord
I waited patiently for the Lord ; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth— Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord .Psalms 40:1-3 NKJV(http://bible.com/114/psa.40.1-3.NKJV)
I guess no one enjoys waiting, especially if the person whom you are waiting does not indicate to you when is the likelihood he or she will turn up. Our God wants us to wait patiently for Him as well. The difference is that while you are waiting for Him, He inclines to you. He gives you the assurance not only that He hears you but He sets your feet upon a rock and establishes your steps! He even put new songs in your mouth so that the whole process of waiting is a joyous and a cheerful one. This is our God, the Servant King Who loves us enough to serve us yet does not compromise on the timing and the actual process that we need to wait and go through. Let us continue to put our trust in Him (Psalm 40:3), reminding ourselves not to be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds, so that we may discern God's will which is good, acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12:2). Let us continue to press on to focus on God daily, put our trust in Him, seek Him, rejoice and be glad in Him (Psalm 40:16). Great is the Lord! Great is His Faithfulness! https://twitter.com/EstherOngHC (please click to view a visual)
