Abimelech came from Gerar with Ahuzzath, one of his friends and Phichol the commander of his army to meet Isaac. They said to Isaac that they could see that the Lord was with Isaac and hence wanted to make a peace treaty. Does our light so shine for God that people see Christ in us? That is the one of the reasons that we Christians are still on earth. We are to be ambassadors for Christ! The question now is are we fulfilling this appeal from God? The Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 5:20-21 that it is as though God were pleading through us: to be the ambassadors for Christ, to call people to be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. Henceforth, be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist and fulfill your ministry (2 Timothy 4:5).
