Day 295: Psalm 110, Proverbs 14:19-21, Mark 1, Jeremiah 19-20

Show Agape Love

Mark 1:9-11 recorded the incident where Jesus just came out from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan. And immediately, coming up from the water...a voice came from heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” If we analyse the chronology of the events, Jesus had not started any ministry yet at that point of time. Nevertheless, God the Father was pleased with Him. As parents, we need to learn that we must be pleased with our children even before they ever do or achieve anything. We must show agape love to our children. We do not just love them because they fulfill certain sets of conditions. Parents need to take heed as we may inadvertently portraying such conditional love to our children, thus setting a heavy burden on them. Day 69: Psalm 49, Proverbs 25:4-6, 1 Corinthians 5, Genesis 49-50 Do Our Utmost For His Highest Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? But as for you, you meant evil against me; but  God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it  is this day, to save many people alive. We may go around feeling very miserable, angry and unproductive. However, Joseph in the Old Testament did not have such feelings but instead he went about doing his best in whatever tasks given to him, knowing that God is in charge and in control. Day 187 - Have Fear of God Read: Psalm 145; Proverbs 6:28-31; Revelation 6; 2 Samuel 15-16 2 Samuel 15 & 16 15:13 A messenger came and told David, “The hearts of the people of Israel are with Absalom.”14 Then David said to all his officials who were with him in Jerusalem, “Come! We must flee, or none of us will escape from Absalom. We must leave immediately, or he will move quickly to overtake us and bring ruin on us and put the city to the sword.” To me, as a parent, it is so sad to note that King David got to run for his life from his own son, Absalom. His own son schemed for 40 years (15:7) to topple his own father - could you believe that?
